Rubber trees were first introduced into Laos in 1930 by France in the south, the plantation covering only 2 hectares. Until 2015, Laos has achieved a total planting area of 300,000 hectares that 150,000 hectares can be cut to produce latex, which ranking sixth among ASEAN countries.
